Cabinet Refinishing
Cabinet finishes have to take abuse — grease, water, hands, fingernails, dishwashers. We don't 'paint' cabinets. We refinish them with the same chemistries factories use, sprayed in your home with proper containment.

How a cabinet refinishing project actually runs.
- 01Day 1
Tear-down & label
Doors and drawers removed and labeled, hardware bagged, hinges marked. Boxes cleaned and degreased on site.
- 02Day 2
Sand, fill, prime
Full sand on every surface, grain filler where needed, bonding primer on doors, drawers, and boxes.
- 03Day 3–4
Spray finish
Sprayed in our controlled-environment booth — typically two color coats and a clear topcoat. Conversion varnish or 2K urethane depending on use.
- 04Day 5
Re-hang & dial in
Doors and drawers re-hung, hinges adjusted, soft-close checked, hardware reinstalled. We don't leave until every door swings true.
FAQ.
How long does cabinet refinishing take?
A typical kitchen takes 4 to 6 working days from tear-down through re-hang. Larger kitchens or full color changes (light to dark) may add a day for additional coats.
What's the difference between cabinet painting and refinishing?
Refinishing is a full sand, prime, and sprayed finish that bonds to the cabinet — what we do. 'Painting' often means brushed latex over original finish, which fails on cabinets within months. We don't do that.
What products do you use?
Conversion varnish or 2K urethane topcoats over a bonding primer, sprayed in a controlled booth setup. These are the same chemistries used in factory cabinet finishing.
Can you change the color completely?
Yes. We've done dark stained oak to white, white to navy, and everything between. A full color change adds a day for additional coats.
Will my kitchen be unusable during the project?
The boxes stay in place and you can use the kitchen at night. Doors and drawers come back roughly day 4 or 5. We work clean — no overspray on counters, floors, or appliances.
Do you replace hardware?
We can — pulls, knobs, hinges, and soft-close upgrades are all available as part of the project. We can also reuse existing hardware.
